Come play with us Sundays & Tuesdays
We've had many questions about the possibility of reopening the club but this is a difficult decision with so much to consider. As vaccines become more available many of you may believe the time has come however we still think that this may be premature. There seems to be a surge happening in the Northeast due to new variants which are more transmissible and too many people have not yet been vaccinated. Complacency is the main danger to the overall health of the population at large. Restaurants and bars may be reopening but a club like the Jacks is different. We are still advised to avoid joining crowded indoor spaces with poor ventilation and close contact. The idea of physical distancing with masks does not seem like an experience that would work for most of our members. There is also the consideration of having to require proof of vaccinations which is complicated and difficult to enforce.
We are especially cautious because we take everyone's health seriously and do not want to be in the position of putting anyone in danger. We look forward to seeing our old and new friends again when the time comes and are hopeful that this will happen in the fall or possibly sometime in the summer but this will depend on circumstances beyond our control. There are also considerations with our venues as well. In any case we do value your patience and hope to see you all again when the time is right. Please stay healthy so we can get back to seeing and touching each other again.
The following is an excellent article in Buzz Feed News about mutual JO from the standpoint of a first time visitor. You should check it out if you are curious what a Jacks event is like. Here is the link:
We take special pride in creating an atmosphere that is relaxed and welcoming and that draws a great crowd of men who make every party a pleasure to host.
